Feature Friday - March 21st: Stripe Terminal Integration & Automating User Status Updates in SaltoKS ✨

Happy Friday! We’ve got two exciting updates that will make managing payments and access in your flex space simple and hassle-free.

First, we’re rolling out Stripe Terminal integration, bringing a more convenient, flexible way to process in-person payments and capture card details on the spot in your flex space. Whether it’s a drop-in purchasing a Day Pass or a member adding payment details for future recurring charges, this integration ensures a frictionless checkout experience.

Second, we’re introducing a new automation for SaltoKS, ensuring that members without active memberships are automatically marked as “unsubscribed”, helping your organization reduce manual effort and unnecessary costs.

Stripe Terminal Integration: Seamless in-person payments & card capture

Why this matters

With Stripe Terminal, you can now:
Enable instant in-person payments for invoices, allowing members and drop-ins to pay with their card at the front desk.

Simplify card collection by securely storing payment details via a quick card swipe, eliminating manual data entry.

Reduce administrative overhead and improve payment processing efficiency.

Key Use Cases

Instant Invoice Payments – Trigger a charge directly from an invoice in OfficeRnD Flex, sending it straight to the Stripe Terminal for easy, secure in-person card payments.

Effortless Card Capture for Recurring Payments – Let members add their payment details via a Stripe Terminal swipe—no need for manual input or forms.

How it works

Check whether the feature is available in your country.

Purchase the correct supported hardware (Stripe Reader S700 or BBPOS WisePOSE)

Enable Stripe Terminal in your Stripe Dashboard, add the devices to a location, and then map them in the OfficeRnD Stripe Config.

Paying an invoice via Stripe Terminal:

  1. A customer walks into your flex space and wants to purchase a Day Pass (or another service).

  2. The front desk team creates the invoice in OfficeRnD Flex.

  3. The team triggers the payment, sending it directly to the Stripe Terminal for card processing.

  4. Once the payment is complete, the invoice is automatically updated, and everything stays in sync between OfficeRnD and Stripe.

Adding payment details via Stripe Terminal:

  1. A customer wants to set up payment details for future recurring charges.

  2. The admin navigates to the Member Details Page and selects "Add Payment Details Manually".

  3. They choose "Add via Terminal," prompting the customer to simply swipe their card—done in seconds!

Important details to know

Each Stripe Terminal device needs to be added manually to your Stripe Dashboard and assigned a location.

Receipt preferences in OfficeRnD Flex and Stripe are managed separately—if both are enabled, the customer will receive two receipts.

You can trigger a Stripe Terminal charge from:

  • The Invoice Details Page

  • The Member Details Page, when a single invoice is selected

Ability to unsubscribe users in SaltoKS

To further streamline operations, we’re introducing automated user status updates in SaltoKS, making access management more efficient.

Why this matters

Reduce manual work – No more manually updating users in SaltoKS when their access expires.

Optimize costs – SaltoKS charges based on active users. By automatically updating member statuses, you avoid unnecessary charges.

Seamless automation – The system syncs automatically, ensuring access is revoked at the right time.

How it works

When a member has had all of their access groups revoked due to expired or utilized memberships/resources, OfficeRnD will automatically update their status in SaltoKS to “unsubscribed.”

This feature is available as a setting in the SaltoKS configuration dialog under “Sync Options.”

This small yet impactful update streamlines your access management process while helping to cut down on operational costs.
